The podcast privacy notice
Last updated 20 October 2026. This adds to our main privacy policy for anyone who applies, nominates someone, or comes on the MO(MEN)TUM podcast.
Who we are
MO(MEN)TUM is run by Momentum Movement CIC (company no. 17156922, registered in England). We are the controller of the information below. Contact: hello@mo-men-tum.com.
What we keep, why, and on what basis
| What | Why | Legal basis (UK GDPR) | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your enquiry or nomination: names, email, phone if given, the story, socials, how you heard | To consider you (or him) for the podcast and reply | Your consent (the tick box), and explicit consent for anything about health | Deleted after 12 months if it goes no further |
| Your booking: time, place, and an address if Ollie comes to you | To arrange the recording and send reminders | Our agreement with you | The address goes with the pre-chat answers |
| The pre-chat answers (your story, what is off-limits, support, people you will mention) | So Ollie prepares well and the edit respects your limits | Your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)) | Deleted 90 days after your episode is out, or 90 days after we decide not to go ahead |
| The signed agreement: typed name, drawn signature, choices, time, the internet address and browser you signed from, and the hash of the exact wording | To prove what you agreed to, and to keep to your choices (clip approval, withdrawal) | Our legal obligations and the defence of legal claims | 6 years, then deleted |
| The recording, the episode and clips | To publish the podcast, as your agreement says | Your explicit consent and our agreement with you | As long as they are published, unless you withdraw |
| Clip decisions, cut requests, share-kit use (opens, copies, downloads) and clicks on our episode links | To keep your control over what goes out, and to see whether episodes reach people | Our legitimate interests (counted on our own site; no tracking pixels in emails, no cookies) | With your guest record |
| The Inner Circle: your display name, Two Words, a line, an optional photo | To show the men who chose to stand together | Your consent (opt in, leave any time) | Until you leave the Circle |
Who sees it
Ollie, and the services that run MO(MEN)TUM for us under contract:
- Supabase (our database and private file storage), Vercel (this website), Resend (our emails).
- Anthropic (the company behind Claude): Mo, our AI assistant, uses it to turn your pre-chat answers into Ollie's prep notes. Only the answers needed go to it, never your contact details. Anthropic does not train its models on this data.
- Our editing machine (a computer we own) uses your off-limits list and cut requests to check the edit.
- When the episode and clips are published: Spotify and the podcast apps that take its feed, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn, under their own privacy policies.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK (mainly the US). Where they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires (such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum). We never sell your information and never use it for advertising.
How it is protected
- Your private link is long and random. We store only a scrambled (hashed) version of it, and it runs out after a while. Do not share it.
- The signed agreement and any photo are kept in private storage; they are never at a public web address.
- Everything is kept in MO(MEN)TUM's own systems, separate from any other business.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time (at your private link, or by email). Withdrawing does not undo what was lawful before, and we keep the signed agreement itself as a record of what you agreed to and when. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd like the chance to put it right first: hello@mo-men-tum.com.
If you nominate someone
Tell him first if you can. We keep only what you tell us, use it only to decide whether to invite him, never publish it, and delete it after 12 months if it goes no further. If he asks, we tell him where we got his details and delete them.
If things are heavy right now
