The podcast Every Wednesday
Honest conversations with men.
The hard bits, what got them through, and what keeps them going. No script, no hot seat. Just two men and an hour of the truth.
Episodes
Listen.
Every conversation
Five parts.
Same shape every time, so it feels like a chat and not a hot seat.
- NowWho he is today. A normal Tuesday. And the question nobody answers honestly: how are you, really?
- Back thenGrowing up. The men around him, and what they did with feelings.
- The greyWhen it went grey. What it felt like from the inside, what he hid, and who knew.
- The goldWhen the colour started coming back. What actually helped, and what didn't.
- The man watchingWhat he still struggles with, and what he wants to say to the man who's in it right now.
How every episode ends
Two Words.
At the end, each guest looks down the lens at the boy or man who's in the grey right now, and gives him two words to keep. Words to replace the ones he's been telling himself.
Keep going.
He writes them on a MO(MEN)TUM card. Every card is kept, and the guests who want to stand together are in the Inner Circle.
If you come on
You stay in control.
- About an hour. Ollie brings two small cameras and mics, to yours or his. Nothing to prepare.
- Say "cut that" at any time, and it comes out. Ask for anything else to come out before the episode is live.
- Ask to approve every clip, and nothing of you goes out without your yes.
- Change your mind, before or after. No reason needed.
- You sign a short plain-English agreement first, and get a copy. How we look after what you tell us.
Come on the podcast
Tell me your story.
A few lines is plenty. If you are in the middle of it right now, that counts. I read every one myself and reply either way.
Nominate a man
Know a man who should be heard?
Tell me about him. Better still, tell him you're doing it.
